# Gap pass G, 2026-10-02: Fresh Perspectives + abstract works at Clubhuis

Nothing edited in richting-v9.html, werk.yaml, img/. Candidates in `img-candidates/fresh-perspectives-g/` (14 jpg) and `img-candidates/clubhuis-abstract-g/` (9 jpg), each with `_sources.tsv`. Every candidate viewed. Nobody contacted. Wayback not usable (429 from archive.org; clubhuis.net not checked).

## Answer in short
Row 43 is Clubhuis, a pop-up creative retail store, #14 on the Festival Design Kwartier route, Piet Heinplein 50, Zeeheldenkwartier (Instagram 29 May 2016; fits 27-29 May). Two works by Since Today hung/stood in it:
1. **Fresh Perspectives**: a print series, 14 numbered line-drawn landscapes with stippled/halftone skies (FP001-FP014, titles e.g. Flight Mode, Gateway to Europe, Baywatch, Roadtrip, Hell Hole, Monument Valley, Lesbos). Also a sales line: giclee prints 20x30 / 50x70 / 70x100 cm, EUR 25 / 60 / 120, edition 30 / 20 / 10 (2017 catalogue p.2; Clubhuis price card reads "giclee print 50x70cm, EUR 60, 1/10").
2. **The abstract works**: large black-and-white bitmap raster prints, pixel-checker block pattern over a dithered grey-blob field, hung unframed as big sheets (PDFs 3376x4978 pt, about 119x176 cm; "abri" in filenames; abri-size match is my inference). Plus two more raster variants (wavy-line and fine pixel noise) in `rasters.pdf`/`rasters-big-abri02/03`. Installed photos show at least the checker+blob variant (Dag02-83, Dag03-20, Dag02-116).

Contradiction to resolve: werk.yaml row 43 says "abri posters". Source says abri-format raster prints, no evidence they were posters on bus shelters. Photos show them hung indoors. Fix wording in row.

## Existing row 43 vs findings
- Current img/clubhuis: hero shopfront, row-01 = FP002 framed (so one Fresh Perspectives print is already in), rows 02-04 = other makers' objects (ceramics, drawings, cushions). Raster work absent entirely.
- Dag02-79 shows FP002 + FP001 framed pair, probably a cleaner choice than the other makers.

## Recommendation
Fresh Perspectives = **part of row 43** for the exhibition, but it has a life beyond it (2017 catalogue, orders 31 Aug 2016 and 21 Nov 2017 per ST note, Instagram 30 Mar 2017 "another happy customer"). Own row only if Jonathan/Gwenda want a sales-series entry; Gwenda decided 2026-09-09: one ledger entry, two series together, not a case. Keep that decision: **one row, two sub-series**. Raster series: part of row 43, no own row.
Suggested row claim: "Two print series for a pop-up: fourteen line-drawn landscapes with stippled skies, and a bitmap raster at poster-wall scale." Role wording must wait for the unknowns.

## Dates (verified vs unverified)
- 20 May 2016: Instagram "Working on the last details for #designkwartier", shows FP004 on screen (verified, input/Jonathan/instagram posts_1.json).
- 29 May 2016: IG "Our #clubhuis is #14..." and "last chance to visit our #clubhuis pop up creative retail store" (verified).
- Photos: ST note and gap A cite EXIF 28-29 May 2016 (not re-checked).
- Order dates 31 Aug 2016, 21 Nov 2017: from folder names `Bestelling_31-08-16`, `bestelling_21-11-2017` in the zip (verified names; who ordered, how many: unknown).
- Comment "Fresh perspective baby!" on a sincetoday.nl post, 21 Oct 2016 (his IG comment export). Facebook message Sept 2019 (Tena Lazarevic thread) "baby is well and they love the Fresh Perspective": a buyer or gift, unverified link to the series.
- 2017 catalogue ("catalogue+impressie2017"): branded "Since Today, an independent design studio". Not dated beyond file name.

## His role: UNKNOWN, do not state
Everything is under the Since Today name. Gap A already asks who made the prints and wordmark. Nothing here says who drew them or who coded the raster. The file `Fresh Prespectives_A6_A7.indd` and `REWIRE2012_AFFICHE` templates suggest Jonathan's Lowman-era files reused (ST note says verify). Photographer of the Clubhuis frames unknown (Gap A: unknown).

## Risks
- **Consent**: row 43 already `nodig-gwenda`. Both series are ST work, Gwenda said "hoort zeker bij ST". Flag stays: nodig-gwenda for any image of Fresh Perspectives or rasters.
- **Third parties in photos**: Dag03-104, Dag02-116, Dag03-177 and the website images show identifiable visitors (one with a baby). Prefer people-free: Dag02-79, Dag03-136, Dag03-8, Dag02-83, Dag03-127, Dag03-179 (hand only).
- **Other makers**: the pop-up showed work by Studio Feig, Lauren Hillebrandt, Bao Yao Fei, Studio Iedman (window text; row 43 note). Ceramics, clothes, cushions, colour still-lifes on the floor (Dag03-20 bottom) and framed drawings are theirs, not ST. Do not use as "his" work. Dag03-20 is a raster photo but carries their frames: crop.
- **Stock mockups**: catalogue pages 3-4 and `01 BRIEF/mockups/` are bought interior photos. Excluded. The 14-plate overview uses plates on a generic wall: origin of that template unverified (a `MOCK UP Templates` folder exists on Backup_02); do not use as hero, fine as archive overview.
- **Private homes / buyers**: `Ingebruik/IMG_0691` (dining room), `Ingebruik/Tena/` (Instagram screens of a stranger's interior, not included) and Bright post. Bright is also client row 13 (consent `nodig`, Bright stopped). Not for publication without asking. Bright post shows an office wall, FP007, third party context.
- Price/edition on public page: contradicts ST ratecard? not checked. Prices from 2017 are historical; leave out of the row.
- `Spui216a-Voorstel` (Feb 2017) in same zip = rental brochure for a 681 m2 shop at Spui 216a (EUR 7,500/month excl. VAT per brochure). A follow-up idea for a permanent Clubhuis, not part of the 2016 pop-up. Do not mix; Gap A's question "separate show at Spui 216a?" is answered: the Spui material is a 2017 proposal, not the show (that was Piet Heinplein 50).

## Unknowns to ask Jonathan (nothing contacted)
1. Who designed the series and the raster code, and who is Clubhuis (organiser/curator)?
2. Did the raster prints hang elsewhere (abri/bus shelter) or only in the shop?
3. How many prints sold, to whom (Bright? Tena?), and may buyers be mentioned?
4. Are FP titles his? Wording for series title: archive spells "Prespectives" (typo).
5. Photographer of Best/ set.
6. Clubhuis outside the festival: was it Since Today's own pop-up shop (IG says "our #clubhuis")?

## Sources checked
- B01 `Clubhuis.zip` (listing, Best/ 74 frames viewed as contact sheet; zip has a bad-offset warning, files 75+ unread: `Dag 03-182`, `Dag03-12` not extracted).
- B02 `Project Archief 02/Fresh Prespectives.zip` (not in B01; the only zip with "fresh" in the name; 10.9 GB uncompressed). Extracted catalogue, promo_lowres, rasters PDFs, Ingebruik only. Not opened: .ai/.eps/tif (large), `catalogue.indd`.
- ST notes `clubhuis-designkwartier.md`, `losse-werken-kaartenbak.md`, master index rows (state Fresh Perspectives not free work; master index row 158 for Clubhuis says "unknown archive location" and is stale).
- Instagram export (4 hits), Facebook message hit. LinkedIn export: no hit (grep over input/Jonathan found no "clubhuis").
