## 0. Corrections and finds that change other rows
1. **Fingertype in Adbusters** is dated by his own post: 9 May 2008 (FB notes timestamp). v9 blurb says "Adbusters later that year": make it "in May 2008". Page has title only, the four images are not in Wayback (404 on all `adbusters1-4.jpg`); print never seen.
2. **Fontanel interviewed him first**: his blog post "Interview at Fontanel.nl" (FB notes 1 Apr 2008): Thomas Moes "asked me some intimate questions ... the lowdown on the Fingertype and how it has been exploding over the net". Fits the v9 line "picked up by Fontanel in spring 2008".
3. **Full Fingertype alphabet exists**: `DBTT III.zip > fingertype_A2.pdf` (16 Jan 2009), A to Z on A2. Earlier candidates only showed twelve letters (a b c d e g o p q r s x, source prints 7 Sep 2007).
4. **Don't Believe The Type is a separate show, not a leftover filename.** Brief PDF: DBTT I, expo 6 Nov to 4 Dec 2009, Ship of Fools gallery (Trapped in Suburbia, old cigarette factory, The Hague), symposium day 6 Nov. His own exhibition list (Wayback 2011): "2009 Don't Believe The Type", "2010 Don't Believe The Type III, The Hague", "2010 Don't Believe The Type, Shanghai". `DBTT III.zip` (1 Nov 2010) holds three posters "LowmanxDBTT" incl. **Give Type A Face on grey** (row 65 appears a second time) and a Fingertype alphabet poster. Web search summary lists Jonathan Looman among hosted designers (trappedinsuburbia.nl is JS-only, I did not open a page). No row exists for DBTT: propose one (see section 7b). `lowman_DBTT_poster02.pdf` in the Breda folder is byte-identical in size to `lowman_GVD.pdf` (644,399 B): the Breda poster project and DBTT shared one working folder.
5. **Typographicartstuff predates the blog**: hang tag of May 2008 prints "Typographicartstuff" under the LOWMAN wordmark; his site header 2008 reads "LOWMAN | Typographicartstuff". Blog archive menu (Wayback 3 Feb 2011) starts October 2009.
6. **Exhibitions as Lowman continue past 2009** in his own 2011 list: DBT 2009/2010/Shanghai 2010/III, Papermind Amsterdam 2010, GDFB poster project, GDFB "Greytones" and "On going" 2010, O.K. Festival (Stain) 2010, WORDPLAY New York 2010, Adobe The Switch 2009, Chaumont 2011, Binnenwerk 2011. Row 73 says 2007 to 2009.
7. **Sweatshop exhibition photos exist** (row 73), see 13.
8. Row 70/67 overlap: `Limited T-shirts.zip` (Jul to Sep 2011) is the row 70 job. Brief 13 Jul 2011: two designs, 300 dpi or vector, intro video, photos, interview; he is addressed as first featured artist of LimitedTshirts.com. Options 01 to 09 are Illustrator files; the ghost photo in options 05/06 looks like a found photograph (third-party). I made no candidates from it.
9. Tumblr reblog (robotcosmonaut post 77106133383): 403 for curl and WebFetch, not in Wayback, web search finds the blog (an image-curation blog, "no ownership claimed") but not the post. Unverified, nothing claimed.

## 1. Row 16 Fingertype (2007 to 2008)
**Verified:** printed sheets Apr to May 2007 (HKU.zip eindexamen '07, `abcdefgh01.pdf` 23 Apr, `JL HB.tif` 3 May); source prints 7 Sep 2007; page live 11 Dec 2007; Fontanel interview 1 Apr 2008; Adbusters post 9 May 2008; Écrans 19 Apr 2008, Truly Deeply 7 Dec 2009, Devroye, Beware! (earlier passes); full A to Z A2 poster 16 Jan 2009; a Fingertype print hung at the RELOAD Expo, Modefabriek, Jan 2009 (gaps-M, private chat). Own CV (grad newspaper, Weave hit IMG_7733/7734): Pers 2008 Adbusters, Playful Type (Gestalten), Fontanel.nl, 2009 Typomofo, Typographic Design (Monsa), quote "Met projecten zoals Fingertype, laat Jonathan zien dat de identiteit van de afzender een belangrijke rol heeft in de hedendaagse communicatie" (author not shown).
**Blurb (proposal):** Fingertype is an alphabet built from fingerprints, drawn in 2007 when Jonathan worked as Lowman. The first twelve letters were printed in spring 2007; he showed it on his own site in December 2007 and told readers he was building the full alphabet, which exists as an A2 poster from January 2009. Fontanel interviewed him about it in April 2008 and he reports it in Adbusters in May 2008. Luc Devroye's type index lists it, and a Fingertype print hung at the RELOAD Expo in Amsterdam in January 2009.
**Images (fingertype-p):** 01 first sheet Apr 2007; 02 twelve letters May 2007; 03 to 05 source prints A, G, S (negatives); 06 full alphabet A2; 07 grey DBTT III poster.
**Risks:** the prints are fingerprints of an unidentified person (whose? consent?); "he reports it in Adbusters" rests on his page title only; Écrans/Truly Deeply copies are third-party pages (not used as images).
**Ask:** whose fingerprints; was Adbusters a printed feature or an item on their site; what were the 12 letters for (final exam 2007)?

## 2. Row 35 Fontanel (2009 to 2010)
**Verified:** files Oct 2009 to Mar 2010 (`Fontanel.zip`): first logo pdf 18 Oct 2009, style guide 26 Nov 2009 and 9 Jan 2010, invitation options 13 Jan, cards 17 to 18 Jan, media kit and wallpaper 27 to 31 Jan 2010, invoices/quotes template 22 Mar 2010 (existence only, not opened). Press release by the editors dated 1 Feb 2010 (`04 SEND/_from Willem/persbericht.pdf`): renewed online design magazine, three bloggers named in it (Erik Gelderblom, Thomas Moes, Willem van Roosmalen). Invitation: Re-launch party, Friday 5 Feb 2010. Own text (hellowman.nl/fontanel, Wayback 6 Jul 2012): "We created a classical and minimalist identity ... The basis of the identity is a blank space that is allocated between two diagonal lines. This space is free of dogmas, conventions and other creative repression." Earlier ties: interview 2008, Adobe User Group x Fontanel talk 3 Jul 2009 (jl-press).
**Blurb (proposal):** Fontanel was a Dutch online design magazine run by three bloggers, relaunched in February 2010. Jonathan, working as Lowman, designed the identity between October 2009 and January 2010: a name set in a diamond between two diagonal lines, a colour and type system, a style guide, cards, an invitation made as a cut-out diamond, a media kit and a wallpaper. His own description calls the space between the lines free of dogmas and conventions. Fontanel had interviewed him in 2008.
**Images (fontanel-p):** 01 wallpaper 2560 px (best own asset), 02 media kit cover, 03 greeting card, 04 ornament diamond studies (purpose unconfirmed), 05 to 07 style guide spreads, 08 cut-out invitation. Existing candidate set (hero phone mockup, invitation optie08, pattern, logo options, huisstijl13) not repeated.
**Risks:** `00 READ ME.rtf` says the process files are for "ons vier" only and he does not want them on the internet: show finals, not sketches (01 to 03, 08 are finals; 04 to 07 are presentation material). Media kit inner pages carry third-party quotes and ad rates: not used. Style guide typeface Eagle (Font Bureau) is third-party, used as specification only. Business cards carry names and a phone number: not used. Layout of the media kit is inferred from the folder, not stated.
**Ask:** did you do the media kit layout and the relaunch site design, or the identity only; client or friends project; consent for the three bloggers to be named.

## 3. Row 38 Various Artists (2010 to 2011)
**Verified (press text in `04 FINAL/.../VariousArtists1_pressinfo.txt` and mail of 28 Dec 2010 from his Lowman address to post@various-artists.org, "our press list"):** mini-festival in the smallest club of The Hague, club 330live, 4 Feb 2011, 22.00 to 04.00; live: Eklin (psychedelic folk), Safe Swim (Fort Grofusch, "absurde basement noise", a.k.a. fatherfutureback), tomlaan (Stripewaves); DJ set Arto Rohde; "vaag, vreemd en verrassend". Brush lettering, poster in black and in blue/red, wanted-poster, flyers, social icon (22 Dec 2010), sketches from 30 Nov 2010, cards "NEXT EDITION 1 APRIL 2011 / TALK TO US #VA1" (3 Feb 2011). Whether edition 2 took place: not verified. Role: designer and sender of the press mailing; organiser status still unconfirmed (jl-press lists "organised or co-hosted").
**Blurb (proposal):** Various Artists was a one-night mini-festival in the smallest club of The Hague, 330live, on 4 February 2011: live sets by Eklin, Safe Swim and Tomlaan and a DJ set, billed as vague, strange and surprising. Jonathan drew the brush lettering that carries the name and made the posters, flyers, a wanted-poster variant and a social icon, from a first VA monogram to the final lettering. He sent the press mailing, and cards announced a next edition for 1 April 2011.
**Images (various-artists-p):** 01 black lettering poster, 02 names poster, 03 flyer front names 8-up, 04 flyer front lettering 8-up, 05 social icon, 06 to 10 sketches (monogram, triangle letters, hourglass, zig-zag border, next-edition cards). The Danker event photos stay out (third party, faces).
**Risks:** act names are third-party; flyer back has price and address (not used); sketch 07 and 08 look like early ideas that were dropped.
**Ask:** organiser or only designer; did edition #2 happen on 1 April 2011.

## 4. Rows 50 and 51 (one work), 2010
**Verified:** Brief (`GDFB_brief_poster-project.pdf`, Feb 2010): second edition 8 to 30 May 2010, theme decoding, 57 designers invited to an A0 poster shown on a route, QR code per poster, 5 prints per design, 2008 edition 67 designers on mupi posters. Order of work in `002 SKETCH`: 31 Mar 2010 a Dutch text on punctuation set in old-style type with big quote marks (different idea); 2 Apr the Roman Capitals plate; 6 Apr final A0 pdf; 14 Apr second poster (Give Type A Face). Colophon in the final: "THE CENTURY EXPANDED / DECONSTRUCTED BY LOWMAN". His page (2012): theme he names "Decoding The City"; "The shape, historic background and context of a typeface are the first elements of design that influence the reader." `lowman_text.txt` quotes Hugues Demeude, The Animated Alphabet (1996).
**Blurb (proposal, for one merged row):** For the poster project of the Graphic Design Festival Breda 2010, Jonathan, then working as Lowman, made an A0 poster on the theme of decoding. After a first text layout he built a plate of Roman capitals in which the letters of THE TYPEFACE DICTATES THE MESSAGE are drawn as construction diagrams of The Century Expanded, signed "deconstructed by Lowman". The final file is dated 6 April 2010; the festival ran 8 to 30 May.
**Images (century-expanded-p, adds to -d):** 01 first concept 31 Mar, 02 plate before colophon. 661 px sources rendered at 1058 px: soft.
**Risks:** the plate sits on a scanned book page (reference `Brown-alphabet-after-Serlio1921.jpg` in the brief): third-party base; The Century Expanded is Benton's face; whether it was printed and shown is not proven (festival says it prints 5 each); theme wording differs between brief ("decoding") and his page ("Decoding The City"): use "decoding".
**Ask:** redrawn or traced letters; was the plate scan yours or from a book; was it shown in Breda.

## 5. Row 52 Lowman, studio (2010 to 2012)
**Verified (own page, Wayback 20 Jun 2011):** "Jonathan Looman, operating under the name Lowman, started in 2007 as an independent designer. His passion and energy come primarily from self-initiated design projects and experimenting with the connotations of existing and past visual languages. His main tool is the creation and manipulation of typefaces." "Worked for" list 2011: Bright Magazine, The New York Times, Nalden, Fontanel, onSwipe, Utrecht Academy of Arts, Crazybirds, Firma MES, Museum Nacht Amsterdam, Another Company, Reload Magazine, Drop, Comfort Fit, Jackson Chang, Clean Record, Casco Projects, Stichting Jongeren Werk Amsterdam, Sjoerd Knibbeler, Kim Nuijen, Fisheye Media, Business Models Inc, Cafe Blooming, Amongst Friends, Antoine Buissink, Neon Punx. 2012 header reads "Studio Lowman". Press list 2008 to 2011 on the same page (Stain, Publish, Handmade 3D and Font Family index books, Tees: The Art of the T-Shirt, NYT Sept 2009, Graphic Design 2, Monsa, Typomofo, Neo2, Playful Type, Adbusters, Experimenta, Reload, Fontanel, Creative Arts, De Morgen 2011, Graphic Design Inspiration 2011).
**Blurb (proposal):** From 2007 Jonathan worked under the name Lowman, a one-person studio built on self-initiated projects and the manipulation of typefaces. Its client list of 2011 runs from magazines and labels to a museum night, clubs and a design magazine. Type, posters, T-shirts, sleeves and identities were all drawn in the same hand-lettered spirit. The work moved into Since Today in 2011.
**Images (lowman-studio-p):** thin: 01 ornament studies (unconfirmed purpose), 02 Lowman wordmark from the 2008 hang tag. Row 52 should rather borrow from rows 35, 38, 63.
**Risks:** client names are not cleared; "NYT" refers to a September 2009 mention (press), not a commission: do not say "worked for the New York Times" without his word. "Moved into Since Today in 2011" is the v9 claim, not re-verified here.

## 6. Row 62 Pollyshuffels (2008 to 2009), row 78 covers the act
**Verified:** brief folder defines the title words (polymorphism, shuffle); gatefold 12-inch and CD carton templates supplied (Mar to May 2009); cover sketches V01 24 Nov 2008 to V07 2 May 2009; title tested as "Polly Shuffle"; final front 11 Feb 2009 (3503 px); sleeve wrap 10 May 2009 with 22-track list and a record in the shards; release digital Aug 2009 (gaps-N). A Lowman design contract exists (not opened).
**Blurb (proposal, sleeve only):** Polyshufflez is the 22-track album by Comfort Fit, released in August 2009. Jonathan designed the sleeve as Lowman between November 2008 and May 2009. The title joins polymorphism and shuffle: photographs of street lettering and textures are rotated and stacked into a loose cloud, with the title cut through it and a record among the shards. The sleeve was set up for a CD and a 12-inch gatefold.
**Images (pollyshuffels-p):** 01 final cover 2000 px (replaces the 895 px one), 02 sleeve collage with record (left half with credits cropped away: it holds a real name, address and phone), 03 sketch V01, 04 title lettering V03.
**Risks:** shard photos: street lettering looks like his own photography but the folder also holds web textures: licence unknown; do not say "German" or the real name. Whether a vinyl was pressed: unknown, only templates.

## 7. Row 63 n8 Nachtsalon (2009)
**Verified (brief mail 2 Feb 2009 from Stichting Museumnacht Amsterdam, producer not named here):** Nachtsalon, 20 March 2009, ARCAM, linked to the ARCAM exhibition on the climate-friendly metropolis; theme green utopia ("concrete jungle", Detroit gone green); campaign image due 9 Feb, flyer printed week of 16 Feb, distribution 23 Feb; flyer to carry NACHTSALON big and "n8 presenteert" small on a dark background. Programme: documentary Made in Detroit + Q&A, guerilla gardening seedbombs, Mamiko Motto & Neil Newbud, Refunc Performance (garbage architecture); afterparty Trouw. Deliverables: flyer (final 17 Feb), A3 poster text, adverts (23 Feb, 10 Mar), Hyves header, animated banner (Flash, with sound).
**Blurb (proposal):** In February 2009 the foundation behind the n8 museum night asked Jonathan for the campaign of its Nachtsalon at ARCAM in Amsterdam on 20 March 2009, an evening on a green city of the future. As Lowman he made a hand-lettered NACHTSALON over a collage of hexagon picture windows, used on the flyer, the poster, adverts, a Hyves header and an animated web banner. The programme ran from a Detroit documentary to guerilla gardening and an afterparty.
**Images (n8-nachtsalon-p, adds to -f):** 01 and 02 adverts (price and address strip cropped), 03 first flyer idea.
**Risks:** partner logos and act names; small silhouetted figures from stock (licence unknown); client consent open (n8).

## 8. Row 64 Tactile Translations (2008)
**Verified (his pages, Wayback 25 Jan 2009 and Dec 2008):** entry in the ONcovered sleeve contest by ONtwerp Atelier (a sleeve for a record and band that do not exist, a musician then interprets it); "I chose to use the associative powers of structures, textures and materials"; "My entry was chosen as one of the candidates for the final and ... shown at the Papier Hier event on 10 December in Amsterdam". Back text: 1 Wicked Wood, 2 Smothered Stone, 3 Crispy Concrete, 4 Tedious Textile, each with a definition. EuroSonic Jan 2009 only in his CV.
**Blurb (proposal):** Tactile Translations, with the title Below the Surface, is Jonathan's entry in ONcovered, a sleeve contest for a record and a band that do not exist. Four textures, wicked wood, smothered stone, crispy concrete and tedious textile, are cut into diamonds and layered into a collage, and the back gives each a definition. The entry was chosen as one of the candidates for the final and shown at Papier Hier in Amsterdam on 10 December 2008.
**Images:** nothing new. The two flat PSDs (3543 px, CMYK) are layer files without a composite; PIL/ImageMagick show them wrongly: needs Photoshop. `def/` jpgs and the two hand-held photos are already in -f. Exhibition photos (cimg1462/1496) are dead in Wayback.
**Risks:** collage uses web textures and a vintage portrait (licence unknown). Placement in the contest unknown beyond "candidate".

## 9. Row 65 Give Type A Face (2010)
**New:** same lettering also as poster 3 of DBTT III (Nov 2010) on grey: `give-type-a-face-p/01`. Facts as in gaps-F (GVD group show, Bruce Mau manifesto, Breda 2010, red version 14 Apr 2010).
**Blurb:** add one sentence: "The lettering came back in November 2010 as one of three posters for Don't Believe The Type III in The Hague."
**Open:** lettering drawn, traced or font? The ornamented wood-type with leaf texture looks found.

## 10. Row 66 Black-Lacker (2008)
**No new material.** Two Illustrator files only (25 and 26 Jun 2008); I added two detail crops (01 stacked letters, 02 alphabet line). Note: in gaps-F the hero/row-01 labels look swapped (`version.ai` is the stacking test, `printABC.ai` the big ABC). Nothing public. Keep as is or fold into row 53 Typefaces.

## 11. Row 67 Lowman T-shirts (2008 to 2011)
**Verified (press info 22 to 28 May 2008, hang tag, Wayback 29 May 2008):** label launch with Back Once Again, black and white for men and women plus a limited summer run, made with Attune Shirts (organic cotton, "emission and sweatshop free"), webshop at his site; kick-off 23 May 2008 at Graphic Design Festival Breda inside the exhibition Sweatshop hosted by Staynice, "over 200 t-shirts" incl. Sagmeister, Toko, ilovedust (the organisers' newsletter expected about 500: use his number). Cotton Canvas (2011): "ink on raw unbleached cotton", part of the Foundation project (2012 page).
**Blurb (proposal):** In May 2008 Jonathan launched a typographic T-shirt label under the name Lowman. The first design, Back Once Again, came in black and white and in a limited summer run, produced with Attune Shirts in organic, sweatshop-free cotton, and was shown at the Sweatshop T-shirt exhibition at the Graphic Design Festival Breda from 23 May 2008. Hang tags and wash stickers carried his hand-lettered wordmark. In 2011 followed Cotton Canvas, abstract shapes in ink on raw cotton.
**Images (lowman-t-shirts-p):** 01 hang-tag front, 02 hang-tag back (higher resolution than the 322 px earlier ones). Webshop ad with two models: skipped (faces).
**Risks:** back tag shows a mail address and URL at small size; Attune Shirts named (supplier).

## 12. Row 69 Typographicartstuff (2009 to 2018)
**New:** earlier life as a Lowman tagline from May 2008 (hang tag, site header); posts credited "by Lowman", "by Gwenda Jakobs" and a third name ("Liefhebber") in Feb 2011; blogroll lists Various Artists. The 2010-11 uploads I sampled (SCAN_6_LOWMAN, letterproeftuin, ffshow723, hkudesign) are third-party material: no own posters beyond the TGAS poster and the VA files.
**Images:** only 01 (hang tag). The blog frame stays the single honest image. Unchecked: `Another-blog.zip`, `Onefourone_blogv2.zip` (May 2011).

## 13. Row 73 Exhibitions as Lowman
**Verified:** Sweatshop (his post 29 May 2008, press info); Unit (his page 2 Jul 2008: 13 to 29 June 2008, curated by Herman van Bostelen, "more than twenty graphic designers and design firms from Utrecht", opening Sun 15 June 4 pm, "exhibiting a number of typefaces"); Oncovered at Papier Hier (his page); EuroSonic and Modefabriek RELOAD Expo (his list; Expo also via gaps-M). Photos of Unit, Papier Hier, EuroSonic, Modefabriek, Ego Expo not found in OnCovered, Graphic Design Festival, Reload, Ego Expo zips (checked listings) and Wayback images are dead.
**Found:** 21 photos of the Sweatshop exhibition in `BackOnceAgain_t-shirt.zip > Fotos/sweatshop.zip` (folder dated 23 Jun 2008; Canon EOS 400D, `_MG` files EXIF 23 May 2008 20:22 to 20:31, the `IMG` files carry a wrong camera clock). Walls of shirts in wooden holders, a cardboard robot. Photographer not stated, probably Jonathan (same camera series as his other `_MG` files): unconfirmed.
**Blurb (proposal):** As Lowman, Jonathan showed typographic work from 2007: the Drop#1 exhibition party in Amsterdam (19 October 2007), Sweatshop, a T-shirt exhibition at the Graphic Design Festival Breda from 23 May 2008, Unit in Utrecht (13 to 29 June 2008, typefaces, curated by his typography teacher), his Oncovered sleeve at Papier Hier in Amsterdam (10 December 2008) and the RELOAD Expo at the Modefabriek (January 2009). Later entries on his own list include Don't Believe The Type (2009 to 2011), Papermind Amsterdam and the Breda poster project (2010).
**Images (exhibitions-lowman-p):** six empty or near-empty interiors (IMG_1815, 1826, 1831, 1832, 1837, 1850), 850 px. Crowd shots (faces) left out.
**Risks:** other designers' shirts visible in every shot; he does not appear and his shirt is not identifiable; two images hold tiny figures (1826, 1832). "Unit teacher" claim: his page says curated by Herman van Bostelen, and Van Bostelen is "my typography teacher" in the Neo2 page.

## 7b. Proposed new row: Don't Believe The Type (2009 to 2010)
Evidence: brief PDF (DBTT I), his exhibition list, DBTT III folder. Line: "Poster work for the Hague typography festival Don't Believe The Type, 2009 and 2010." Blurb: In November 2009 Jonathan took part in the first Don't Believe The Type exhibition at the Ship of Fools gallery in The Hague with a hairline-lettered print, A signed print in a golden frame, a concept that describes the work literally and plays on the definitions of art (his words). A year later he made three posters for the third edition: a triangle-and-hairline letter, the Fingertype alphabet and Give Type A Face. Images: `dont-believe-the-type-p/` 6. Risk: the exhibition brief lists 17 invited artists and commission terms (not used); who exactly organised edition III and where: not read (site JS-only).

## Open questions for Jonathan (priority)
1. Fingerprints: whose, and may they be shown?
2. Century Expanded plate: your letters over a scanned book page? Was it printed in Breda? Give Type A Face lettering: yours?
3. Various Artists: organiser or designer? Did #2 (1 April 2011) happen?
4. Fontanel: media kit layout and site yours? May the three bloggers be named? READ ME asked that process files stay off the internet: finals only is fine?
5. DBTT: new row yes/no; were the DBTT III posters printed and shown?
6. Sweatshop photos: yours? Which shirt was yours?
7. n8: fine to show client work and the stock silhouettes?
8. Row 73: widen to 2011 or keep 2007 to 2009?
9. Comfort Fit: vinyl pressed or CD only; shard photos your own?

## Cleanup
`/tmp/gapP` removed at the end of the session. Weave: read-only calls (search only; no describe/annotate).
